Muhammed K. O. Atere, M.D., is a board‑certified cardiologist and clinical cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. His expertise includes simple and complex ablations, cardiac device implantation including leadless pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders, appendage closure devices such as Amulet and Watchman, and lead extraction.
Dr. Atere completed his medical education at the University of Lagos, followed by residency at Richmond University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He then completed fellowships in Cardiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
