Anit S Vettukattil, MD

Dr. Anit Vettukattil is a general surgeon at the St. Francis Center for Surgical Care. She believes that surgery is an act of trust and every patient deserves care that is both human and evidence based. She treats each patient as a partner in their care and is committed to achieving their best possible outcomes and experiences.

She has a special interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery because these approaches often allow for less pain and faster recovery for patients. At the same time, she enjoys the full breadth of general surgery and routinely cares for a wide range of conditions, including:

• bowel surgery
• gallbladder surgery
• hernia repairs
• skin and soft tissue procedures
• surgical emergencies

Dr. Vettukattil completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Brown University in Providence, RI, her residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and her medical degree at the Medical School of Georgia in Augusta, GA.
