Anie Uyoe, MD

Dr. Anie Uyoe, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, who brings more than 15 years of surgical experience to the St. Francis Orthopaedic Institute and St. Francis-Emory Healthcare. He specializes in hip and knee replacements, including the Direct Anterior Hip Replacement surgical procedure, which provides faster recovery, less pain and a reduced risk of dislocation for our patients. He is keenly focused on his patients, bringing a wealth of fracture care and revision surgery experience to the Columbus medical community. Raised in the Atlanta area and a proud Georgia native, Dr. Uyoe is thrilled to join the Chattahoochee Valley area, bringing experienced orthopaedic surgical skill to the communities we serve. He believes in a philosophy of treating each and every patient like a member of his own family, giving exceptional, top-quality care. Dr. Uyoe completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta before attending Michigan State University where he attained his Doctor of Medicine degree. This skilled surgeon completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and a Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virgina. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr Uyoe was the Medical Director of Phoebe Putney’s Joint Replacement Program before joining St. Francis-Emory Healthcare. His clinical expertise covers:
