Alexander Chavez, FNP

Nurse practitioner Alex Chavez helps treat and guide patients through complex health situations as part of the collaborative care team at St. Francis Cardiovascular and Thoracic Institute. He brings empathy and open communication to every patient interaction because he believes education and trust are an essential part of overall care.

He specializes in electrophysiology – a branch of cardiology focused on the heart’s electrical system – and appreciates the impact his care can have on his patients.

“I enjoy the challenge of managing complex conditions and making timely decisions that can significantly impact patient outcomes,” Alex said. “What I enjoy most is combining critical thinking with hands-on care.”

Alex works closely with Farhat Khairallah, M.D. He welcomes patients ages 18 and older.
